Breaking Barriers…Building Bridges

Clinical Microbiology is at a very exciting period; not only are we seeing changes in the way we practice, but we also have a very sophisticated array of tools at our disposal. These tools have enabled improvement in delivery of services provided to our patients. Yet, in our daily role as clinical microbiologists, there are significant barriers which currently limit our ability to function at the highest level possible. Identifying and breaking these barriers is essential to enhance quality of care to our patients. Such an approach is neither easy nor comfortable. However, it will keep us professionally viable and relevant. The only way forward is building new bridges through networks. Bridges between local, state, and central public health systems, between academia, business and government, also across different scientific disciplines, between research communities in different nations, and even between multilateral institutions. This theme of engagement will be the primary focus of MICROCON 2018, Bengaluru.

We are expecting 1500 – 2000 delegates from India & neighboring countries. Please register and confirm your presence at the earliest.
We invite all IAMM members to register and come to experience this scientific fiesta.
5 Days

Five days to interact with your colleagues from different regions, which will surely stimulate a creative exchange of ideas.

Bengaluru or Bangalore, the third largest city in India is located in the south of India and the capital of the state of Karnataka. It is also known as the "Silicon Valley of India" because of its role as the nation's leading information technology exporter. Located at a height of over 3,000 feet (914.4 m) above sea level, Bengaluru is known for its pleasant climate throughout the year. The city is amongst the top ten preferred entrepreneurial locations in the world.
Bengaluru is an amalgamation of a rich cultural past and rapid modernization. The Old city retains more than a hint of its glorious past in the forts and palaces from the 16th century with their splendid architecture and sprawling “maidans”. The New city is famous for its impressive modern buildings which house the technology giants, the numerous high quality educational institutions that attract students from all over, the well laid out connectivity within the city & to the outside world, the thriving night life and the excellent shopping. These qualities make it a magnificent place to visit, a delightful city to live in as well and a gateway to the rest of India.
